A Word on Spore

Spore is a very cool computer game that basically let's you play God, you start out with a little cell in an ocean of primordial ooze. Your cell eats little plants or other cells to earn DNA ( DNA is used as currency in the cell and creature editors). Eventually your cell crawls onto land, now it's a creature that can earn DNA by making friends or killing other creatures. When your creature is smart enough it evolves into a tribe, after that a civilization ( the tribe stage is the same as creature only you play as the whole tribe). In civilization you can create buildings,vehicles and you can even outfit you creature! Once your civilization has taken over the world,( by War, Converting others to your religion,buying every city or any combination of the three) your creatures discover the secret of space exploration!

Spore has spread out from the original game, now there is Spore Hero for Wii, Spore Creatures and Spore Hero Arena for DS, Spore Galactic Adventures, and of course, the spore parts pack Creepy and Cute. Some of these things are cool, some are lame. I will now rate ( on a scale of 1 to 10) how each of these multiple spore games have done.

Spore Creatures- I think that the new set of parts made up for the 2-D graphics, but the plot had some room for improvement. I give this a 5 ( Just O.K.)

Spore Hero- This game is excellent! There where very few differences in the making -a-creature part of the game, the plot was your basic "Good verses Evil". Maybe that's why it's so appealing. I give Spore Hero a 7 ( I could play it over and over again an still like it).

Spore Hero Arena- a.k.a a waste of 20.00$ . The creature editor was a disaster! What am I supposed to do with a tin can shaped blob and color options that where obviously the results of last minute panic? And instead of battling a bad guy with a lot of power at his command like in Spore Hero, you battle a bunch of guys that are brain-washed by evil rocks! It's not the same. I give this one a 1 ( I could play it if my life depended on it but other than that I just don't play it).

Spore Galactic Adventures- This game is like the original Spore only you create adventures for a Captain ( of your own making or someone else's). You could make an adventure where you had to destroy a giant Pizza, or become friends with a Panda, or search a ship for clues to the mysterious plague that creates half dead nightmares( I actually played that last one). In conclusion I give Galactic Adventures a 10 ( Love it Love it Love it!).

Creepy and Cute- is not a game. It's just a bunch of extra parts to stick on your creatures. Still it earns a 6 (very useful for a not-game).
