Adults: nature's greatest mystery

Adults sometimes seem like nothing more than really big children with authority and pubic hair.
Since I live with two pairs of adults (married people with kids) I know a thing or two about their behavior. I shall now make a list of reasons adults are weird.

1. Adults are hypocritical despite looking down on such behavior. A common example: Parents spend the first two years of a their children's life trying to get them to walk and talk, and then spend the next sixteen years getting them to sit down and shut up.

2. When you get down to it, their arguments are no less juvenile than their kid's. Example: I once heard my dad and step-mom argue about how much more time one of them spent on the computer than the other! That is the argumentative equivalent of saying " It's not fair that you get more playdogh than I do!"

3. Adults very rarely hit that magical place between a being "big kid" and a "robot".

4. Despite the fact that adults tell us that "TV will make you a vegetable" or "If you spent as much time working as you spend on the computer, you could accomplish some-thing-or-another" adults are just as addicted (or more) to electronic devices as their kids are!

5. The fact that only a small percentage of the adult world actually admits these things means that they are trying (and failing miserably) to be perfect, or somewhere near that.
Don't try to deny it! You know it's true.
